Dave Norton (nortonshrike.com)

We were just sitting around the office discussing the latest TigerCat progress and projects to complete when the front door opened and a Gentleman we had never meet walked in. Dave Norton stopped by to see the TigerCat and the work yet to do. He had arrived driving a three wheeler that he built over 22 years ago. We ask him in and took him to the shop area and showed him the Cat, which was in the middle of getting the body panels worked out.

Dave and Martin had an engineer-to-engineer discussion for about two hours. I poked my head into the shop a couple of times only to see them deep in finger pointing design work and much chin rubbing and an Oh’ing and Ah’ing now and then. Dave was impressed with our work to date and we invited him to return at any time.

His BMW powered three wheeler has been all over the west and has a good number of miles to its credit. Dave told us that he has a number of newer designs that he would like to build and now that he has moved to Oregon he should have the time.

Of course the Fab and Fiberglass Guys were all over the car looking at the construction methods and asking Dave a number of in-depth questions. We hope they have learned something of use to improve the TigerCat project.

I am sure we will see Dave again when the weather turns warmer and the days grow longer.

Engineer-to Engineer head scratching and jawing.
Dave tries out the TigerCat for size. It seems to fit OK.
Fabrication and Fiberglass get the low-down and a few pointers.
Everybody “Bench Races” while Huey the dog gets a close look at the rear suspension and wheel.
